As a young alum getting in the building is good enough for me. I just don't want to have to pay more than $500 a seat with donation.

Loge will go from 5k donation plus seats (1k each) to 5k donation per seat plus seat. So for a 4 seat loge from 9k to 24k.

 They better be pouring money into that program and better put a great product on the floor for that money year-in year-out. [deleted], I'll bet you can get some pretty good seats at the Mavs for that price.

I would have thought SMU would give the Bball program one more year to establish itself before sticking it to the supporters for tickets

The way I look at it is I hope I get priced out AND they sell out the place. It likely means they're doing well and receiving as much revenue as possible. I have no problem watching games from home if that's the case.

Yes, I pretty much agree, would be great if SMU can pack the place at top $$ and keep most SMUers happy.

I would guess they scale back their pricing if NCAA bid becomes unlikely.

If I stay at home we just need to have more games on real TV instead of computer.

Some of us might consider going in together on season tickets if it gets too expensive. That's the way I did it with the Mavs. Draft games, share games.

That's an extra $720K to the MC just from Loge seating at $5K per seat. With the per seat for floor seats and the red seats as well as the "200" sections, looks like a couple of million in new dollars for the Mustang Club. Guessing the suites are going to get even more expensive as well.

Seating for 2015-16

Postby mrydel » Thu Nov 27, 2014 8:26 am

The only thing that worries me is if they price it so only deep pockets can afford tickets, deep pockets buy many tickets, and deep pockets do not come to the games, get rowdy, or fill all the seats they buy. We need some down and dirty support above and beyond the students. Not just diamond jinglers.

This. It's going to be a balancing act for sure.

Not for the big games which is why you buy the tickets.

You're assuming we're going to be amazing and a big draw. So ~5 big games at 200 a pop...still cheaper, right?

Depends on how many tickets you buy. And if they are only 200 per ticket for big games.

You can get a plethora of uconn tickets for $170. However, I see how this method wouldn't fly if you had a large group of season tickets to maintain.

Definitely would be tough with a large group of season tickets. Were the $170 seats in good areas?

No, not really. However there isn't really a bad seat in the house unless you're sitting behind a banner way way above the band.

The SRO behind the band is ok even. $7k for 2 red seats, no thanks. This could certainly backfire.

To me it is just like selling the season ticket packages to the opposing big game fans in football. Might look good in the books one year but then there is no repeat. Find a proper price and grow a proper product and sell to the proper fan.
