Gonzaga model seems reasonable. Some of the other scenarios that have been thrown out are not. We are not going to be like Duke, Ohio St. etc. Only chance of this is if we were to end up in a P5 conference. This thing runs in cycles and if you have been around SMU long enough you know that we will not be able to sustain the modest amount of success that we have had the past couple of years in basketball. SMU will get out in front of their skis as they typically do and will just [deleted] off their fan base and beg for them to come back after the lean years hit again.

As a reminder, we have STILL not been to the NCAA Tournament in over 20 years. Makes me chuckle how this athletic department abuses the very few loyal fans that they have left...

The day the team goes 6-6 and goes to a bowl game after they sell out the last 3 home games because the team started 6-0 apparently. By then, season tickets should be sold out and time to rethink the pricing because they're apparently too cheap.

When I received my letter is was interesting to see the #5 reason for the re-seat.

#5. Increase revenue which supports all 17 varsity sports and 424 student athletes

Somehow, I think they really meant this to be the #1 reason. :x

It is simple. This will not happen at the level discussed if the team does not pick it up. Wins against Wyoming and UCSB are essential. Either one of those are lost and this idea changes.
