Hate to say I told you guys so, but....

Scott was never going anywhere. Craddock will be the next Morris though as far as QB and offensive guru.

Make no mistake about it.....Morris is the OC. Just like Malzahn at AU.

Congrats boys!

Right, Morris is the OC in reality. I'm not too worried about our offense. It's our DEFENSE that really concerns me. We need stud recruiters/coaches on that side more than the O side now IMHO and a badass S&C coach.

Yea....I guess I lied! I am glad we are keeping Scott. Just wondering who we will have as a QB coach.

Rumors surrounding Bobby Bentley a legendary former HS HC from these parts that is an off analyst now for Malzahn.

Eh, you're good people. I would be excited to keep him, too! Best of luck.

Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic about the recruiting power that Malone is putting around him with this staff. The only thing I am worried about is actual coaching experience (I guess more defensively than offensively).

I just absolutely love how all of the new staff is handling the social media aspect of this ordeal.

They're not only going to campuses here in the Metroplex...they're going straight to twitter and such and tweeting about how much they love it here and there and everywhere.

So refreshing.

Look for Archie McDaniel to join the staff in some regard. Coached with Morris and Malone at Tulsa and SMU Compliance just followed him on twitter.

Seems like another high energy guy who will most likely hit the recruiting trail hard.

This makes sense, McDaniel played for Morris at Bay City where they won a State Title. Obviously, he is going to get an extremely loyal coaching staff as almost all these guys have long term personal ties to Morris

there's another Coach at Tulsa too with long time ties to Morris-follow the resumes
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Does it bother anyone that his hiring methodology is similar to June's

No because while he is hiring buddies they are young guns looking to build names for themselves and not fund their Roth IRA's like JJ's crew of AARP veterans. Sounds more like he is starting to build his own coaching tree; JJ just wanted to build bank accounts. Loyalty and energy can be a fantastic thing for us.
