To all Mustang fans. From a solid orange Clemson fan.

Dear SMU mustangs,

I am a die-hard Clemson fan and I would like to take a moment and tell you Chad Morris is a great leader and moral coach. Like Dabo he has a Christian faith and loves the game of football. I can not begin to tell you how lucky you all are for landing him. He will take the mustangs to new heights. He is one class act recruiter, and loves to joke around. I am going to start following smu. I might just call myself a fan soon. From your conference we only here about East Carolina and University of South Florida. Soon that will change in three years you guys will be bowl eligible. He will get the right coaching staff and players to compete with your friends at Baylor. (I kid,I kid..lol) in conclusion I just want y'all to know y'all have a great coach and at times you may not agree with his play calling, but the bigger picture will begin to unravel soon I'm excited for you guys.

Go Tigers!

Clemson is now my favorite non-Texas team. The fans seem genuine and their congratulations offerings have been great to read. TR89, we do feel fortunate!

I've been looking for s second team to follow. Clemson sounds like a good choice.

very nice , high character folks. Hope we could reflect that in our dealings in the future when some of these great assistants get hired away - not a feeling we are used to having!

also - kind of humorous he thinks we will find fault with Chad's play calling. Compared to the last 7 years, he wont be able to even get our attention in that area.

Thanks for the post.

Sadly, I was born into a family with deep USC ties, some Clempsunnn hate will always run through my blood.

I went to the NIT, and the four teams and many of the fans stayed at the Marriott Marquis. Clemson was well represented, and I have to say that their fans, coaches, and administrators were incredibly friendly and a credit to their university. I met several of them after the game (which, you may remember, we won late), and I must say that they were very, very good sports. Class acts all the way. Those of you who now want to pull for the Clemson Tigers are making a good call.

This seems like the wrong time to go find a second team to follow... why not when your first team was a disaster the last 12 weeks?

Although you could do a lot worse than Clemson.
