Ohhhhh woe is me! Why even try. Anyone who has played or coached football with a successful program knows it is mainly about overcoming adversity. In other words, when you get knocked down on a play or two do you stay down and give up or do you dust off your pants(or in todays world get the rubber pellets out of your facemask) and fight every play until there is no time left on the clock? SMU had some success with June but due to his lack of caring SMU has been knocked down again......so do you get up or stay down? Do you come out swinging and get everybody connected with SMU pulling in the same direction or do you do it the same and live down to Dale Hansens expectations?

I was talking to some guys I know online. The subject was coaching changes.
I was talking SMU and Chad Morris and one of the guys who I had a connection with through athletics (running) said something to me that kinda hurt my feelins a lil' bit. Fock him.
He said "Nobody cares about death penalty U".

digety - the stadium was designed to add a deck on the east if ever needed. That would make it basically the same as the stadiums you mention. Its not a fatal flaw - it is just fully realized until needed. lets hope it becomes an issue.

I have been told that they can't add the East Side deck because of the roads/buildings behind the East Side. If you are correct, that is good news.

In this story, LJ explains how Pye basically called him a cheat after he improved his test scores. It was basically the Death Penalty for the BB program.

All this talk of Piggie Pye should harken back to the real cause of all this. The fundamental failure of institutional leadership at the top; i.e the corrupt dropout named William Clements. Everything stems from that arrogant morons mismanagement and dishonesty in dealing with the 1987 crisis. Our programs were punished for years due to the misdeeds of one individual.

How fitting he left the vast majority of his estate to the University of Texas.
