Recruits at the ECU game

Saw a guy who's nametag said "Newell," I think. And if I could see it right, it said "Pulaski" underneath. I don't know if that's a town, a school -- I don't know.

Also saw Philip Burley. Wow. What an impressive looking guy.

there are several Pulaski's across the US. The closest is in Little Rock Arkansas-isn't that where Donte Womack went to school? No one named Newell in the Rivals Database from Pulaski.

Stallion,

How do you now feel this years' recruiting class will compare to historical ones...specifically Cavan's last years here???

If we are going after high schoolers, we may very well struggle with this class.

Personally, I think we are going after a lot of JUCO players this year. We have a limited number of scholarships, and we need to win NOW. I think we could potentially see a lot of JUCO players.

I would put money that we are going to offer a JUCO QB. I would not be surprised to see a JUCO OL since we have a lot of youth there, as well as at least one, if not two JUCO LB. Possibly a JUCO CB as well.

Youth wise, we have one QB and one OL already. We need to take a RB in every class, and we need some youth at LB and Safety.

I think that the fact that we have only offered one LB, and we are redshirting a few that we picked up last year, indicates that we are most likely going to pick up multiple JUCO LBs.

So, I guess all I am saying is that while the current class is disappointing at this point when compared to previous years, don't judge this class until all the JUCOs come in.

83 out of 127 Texas 3 star recruits have committed which is 65%. Several among the 44 remaining will inevitably be acedemic casualties. I know of really no 3 star recruit which we are likely to get. In addition, 14 out of 42 of "high 2 Stars" rated 5.4 have committed. Again, I know of no recruit we are likely to get-really Burley is one of the few High 2 Stars we even have a shot at. But then again I've been assured we are being VERY selective.

Then where are they?

JUCO's can commit early just like HS players.
