It's another box to check off as a recruit.

There is another reason that we need it...for August two-a-days. Our guys are sapped, miss practices due to dehydration, lose their focus just trying to survive, etc. Patterson says the greatest benefit to their facility is precisely that. Plus, it is a fact of football life that it is the nuclear aircraft carrier in the on-going collegiate arms race...if you don't have one, you risk looking second rate.

That would actually be pretty cool. Haha.

I still don't get why they can't just put one where the current practice fields are. Are they worried about it being an eye sore or something? It's next to our stadium for crying out loud.

I know, especially now that they continually push to make the SMU Blvd entrance the main entrance.

I believe visibility of the Meadows Museum is also an issue, but who ever really looks at that from Mockingbird anyway?

Make Ford a mini Jerry World. Close the roof/end panel(s) on hot or stormy days and open on nice ones. Could also be used for concerts. Syracuse has had a dome on campus for over 30 years - are in a P5 conference - and only this week have opened/constructed an IPF (dome used for basketball, soccer, and lacrosse as well as other functions.) We wouldn't have the same conflict.

Put it between the Bush nature park and Mockingbird where Gary Vodicka used to live. That area is currently zoned for additional intramural fields. Seems like the one(s) we've got serve the purpose - and if necessary, turf it. Or put artificial turf intramural fields on top level of parking garages.
