Official Attendance # for ECU game?

you want to take a vote. In my post I said there were no more than 8,500 in the house and then actual paid attendance. Take you damn rose colored glasses off. Really what do you get out of coming on here and just blatently mislead people that were close to 12,000 people there. What's more if you subtract the freebies this ranks with the poorest turnouts in SMU history

I dunno if I would call it the worst, does anyone around here remember the home game against Hawaii that the WAC scheduled during OU-Texas weekend for 10:30 in the morning so that it could be on TV? I think it was literally the teams, the band, the parents of some of the team.......and that's about it.

8,500 is being generious. Not sure that people who had free tickets did not outnumber the ticketholders who actually paid to get in. Sections 105, 104, & 103 which belong to season ticketholders, had whole rows that were empty. Thank god for the Baylor crowd this year!

I would estimate maybe 1000-1500 on the east side (from TV shots) and not too many in the end zone, so there better have been a pretty full west side to reach that almost 12,000 figure. We all know SMU announces it's paid/issued figures so not even having been there, my guess would be ACTUAL attendance was probably less than Stallion's 8500 guestimate

I can tell you lots of people were on the boulevard and at concessions during the game. Also, dont forget the people "behind the glass" that you never see. I know those suites generate revenue but they hurt our game atmosphere that much more since its already weak. I dont know the number but there alot of people in those suites sometimes, some being our most loyal fans. In the Cotton Bowl they were seen and HEARD in the stands. I still think our cheering was better at the Cotton Bowl and this is one reason why I think.
