That was actually my follow up question - what was Meyer's staff experience. I still cannot believe that SMU is actually doing what most of us called for many many years ago. Great time to be a Mustang

The LB Coach could still be the Lake Travis head Coach

I confess I haven't done any research on other staffs, but here is our likely group next year:
HC Morris 46 DC Malone 43 RB Mathis 38 WR Stepp 31 OL Fry 31 OC Craddock 29
Possible/rumored additions: DB Loepp 37 DL McDaniel 31
Just an FYI, that means we have 1 more coaching position to fill, a LB coach. No ST coach, so any thoughts on which coach would pick up that responsibility? Or does a grad student do that?

Where they also run the 4-2-5

Based on experience, seems like this should be a relatively inexpensive assistant coaching staff even at the OC and DC jobs. Maybe that will make these guys even hungrier and after a year or two of positive results, that's when they will be shown the money by SMU.

Speaking of Loepp, can we get Garrett Gilbert in here in some capacity?

I was wondering about that as well. If Padron could come in as a GA, it would make some sense to see if Garrett would have some interest in a similar role.

How many guys on staff do we have that were recruiting coordinators in their last job? 3? That makes a massive difference in trying to close this class quick and close 2016 at the same time. Don't have to scout a whole lot, you already have like 4 different perspectives on who they best players out there are right now.

I think just Stepp and Loepp. Would had a third if Jeff Scott had come on board
