Blind faith and loyalty..... another June cult member here?

^This.
He doesn't get immunity just because he was a great player if his current actions hurt, rather than help, SMU. Which is what his public badmouthing of SMU and spreading BS excuses for Jones in national media outlets does.

If Eric Dickerson ran over my dog I'd punch him in the nuts.

Why would you punch your dog in the nuts?

You don't think that would be kind of creepy?

Might even give him a break for being a jerk in regard to the Jones firing, IF he had come out this week just as positively in support of the new hire. But of course, not a peep from the guy. He could care less about SMU unless there's something they are willing to do for HIM. Who cares at this point, he's irrelevant. The program is moving in a very positive direction with or without him. I'm sure he'll jump on the bandwagon a couple years from now when SMU is again worthy of any national headlines. He's the type that would be right back in front of the camera with an SMU hat on at that point.

Nobody who matters for the future (recruits and future fan base of smu) even knows who ED is...

He suggested we get rid of our program - in shocking news, we like the program being alive.

In other shocking news, no one person is bigger than this university or this football program. I don't care if you are June jones or cole beasley or Eric Dickerson or any of the other number of people who have bad mouthed our school recently. I care about smu football more than I give a crap about you, no matter how big of a deal you think you are

I haven't heard from Eric, but I did see him the other day.
I dropped a quarter into his tin cup.

Honestly, I think we need to let go of the butt-hurt 'victim' mentality around here. JJ is gone; HCCM offered to embrace former players - the ball's in Eric's court now. Either way, we're rising from the ashes...it's a new era.
