Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?I would not be surprised to see Mortis start reaching out to the former players after recruits sign
GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?who cares if we hear from Extended Dicker or fumble fingers. We have moved on.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson? He'll be at the MBA CREF conference next February in San Diego....they always have a famous athlete there for the super bowl party and do a meet and greet. If I get a chance to talk to him I'll ask about Chad Morris and how he feels about the "New"direction.
There's no way a rational human being could still support JJ at this point...had to just be emotion....I think.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?Well, he could support both SMU and June Jones and I would have no issue with that. Yes, he left the program in shambles but proved that it is possible to win at SMU and for that I am forever grateful.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?
Our WR coach tweeted him earlier saying that he'd love to have him around the players.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?Dickerson responded to Ron Meyer in recruiting -he'll see the same type of personality from Morris especially in 8 weeks after great recruiting class. Morris is what Dickerson has wanted to see for decades

Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?Dic. said "commit or shut it down", not "shut it down". He has ton of football friends from every university imaginable and his alma matter is the laughing stock so to speak of college football. Would you be frustrated?
Dic. was also blamed for the death penalty, even though it happened after he left for the NFL. How would you feel if your alma matter (students, faculty, fans) blamed you for the shut down of the program. Would you feel welcomed? Say what you will, there are lots of takes on it and camps to be in. It would be great to have all the formers back on the sidelines (actually in the stands) to cheer on the team. Maybe Beas and Moore can invite Romo, Bryant, etc and sit sideline. Get some "celebrities" in the stands to create more buzz.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson? You really have some religious cult member susceptibility. Beware. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?
Great post. I think many of us will look back and ultimately be grateful for the JJ regime for 3 reasons: (1) buzz/splash hire and generated some national headlines for awhile (2) showed you CAN win here (3) did such a bad job recruiting (and locally) that it opened admin eyes to get someone like The Chad. Very motivated to get someone like The Chad. Something tells me we don't get into the AAC without the bowl appearances/wins, which was an improvement any way you slice it (although letting in Tulane makes me rethink that sometimes).
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?Ha! The Best thing it did was open up the eyes of the guys who choose who to hire of the importance of recruiting

Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?June's former players seem bitter whenever you talk about the Chad Morris hire and how he has done in the recruiting trail.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?
I guess that's one way to spin it. Doubt you'll ever find 'many' who feel positively about the June regime.
Re: Anyone heard from Eric Dickerson?
Yep, it is pretty clear from the silence of these two, that what they really care about is how their own image looks and is hindered by the past SMU messes. Now that SMU has made a great hire, they do not want to be too fast in embracing the "NEW SMU", as it doesn't help their past complaints... i.e. they are too stubborn to let it go, and give SMU a big thumbs up... At least that is the way it appears to me. Beat the hell out of anybody!
