SMU appears to be back in the race for this Tulsa commitment along with SMU, TCU and Kansas. SMU and TCU were mentioned because they are close to home. Norton is about 6-0, 180 4.5 and rated a high 2 star at 5.4. To give you a feel for his athleticism he played only his secong game at QB this season last week against Arlington and had 230 yards rushing on 26 carries. He says a lot of things that reading into his statement suggest SMU might have a decent chance. Goes into detail about how he and his family are focused on the opportunities the chosen school could bring AFTER football and he wants to major in business. Quality offers from KU, Baylor, TCU, Tulsa, Iowa as well as SMU and also is receiving interest from A&M.

SMU has a much better business school than either TCU or Kansas. As someone who took one class in the b-school I feel quite confident in that statement. Don't any of our recruits want to major in the fine arts.? We are also very good there.

He looked like Michael Vick against us and we are not that bad. Everyone around LH was talking about this kid well after the game.

Hopefully SMU can pull him away from Tulsa.

he said he has recommitted to Tulsa but then in the next sentence says he may want to visit some more schools.

He's going to be at the TCU/CSU game this weekend. A good kid, but don't understand his need to keep saying he's commited and then go out and look. I'd hate to have to recruit 18 year olds for a living. Got to hand it to any college coach in this area.
