Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotYes, the P5 conference winners and 3 wild cards.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotThe thing is, they have screwed this up so much that there is going to be some very bad feedback after the selection. There will not be any "Gosh I wish we would have made it" remarks, but rather some very angry people. As exciting as it has made the season, I do not think the end will be pretty.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotThis year there will be two very angry schools and fan bases. We are going to hear about it forever because I have a feeling the two will be TCU and Baylor.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotI know its petty of me, but I can't help but hope ohio st jumps both TCU and Baylor. The big 12 keeps it small due to greed, and to see that backfire on them would be really sweet. Also, if Baylor hadn't scheduled like a bunch of wussies, it would be over already and they would be in. That is also amusing.
I know I should be for the smaller privates getting in when this system is clearly designed to keep them out, but I can't help it. Go to 8. P-5 plus best non p-5 auto bid, 2 at large.
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotOne thing the committee needs to consider is the advance scheduling. I am not sure when Baylor scheduled Buffalo but there was a brief window when they were respectable. SMU would have been anticipated to have been better for both TCU and Baylor and could now very well be the reason OSU jumps them both. Hard to know where a school might be unless you schedule like FSU and schedule schools that are consistently ranked at decent levels.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotI hate Baylor but I sure love Art Briles. His comments yesterday were awesome.

Problem solved. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotBaylor and TCU get left out. Baylor vs OleMiss at the Cotton Bowl, TCU vs MissState at the Orange bowl.
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotMy $.02
Not that Sagarin is the end all, but.... Some poster above said Baylor would be penalized for their weak opponent loss. Sagarin has WVU ranked #26, VT Tech, Ohio St.'s loss, is ranked #50. Another poster said B10 is a weak conference due to UT & OU being down, but Sagarin has the B12 ranked #4, B10 East#6 & B10 West#9. I spoke to a Baylor alum at Starbucks a month ago. He was discussing Baylor vs TCU. I told him when they call Ohio St (1st 4 team playoff prefers traditional Midwest power), you will remember my prediction. Sorry Reedfrawg, Baylor defeated TCU, case closed IMO. And finally, looks like another part of JJ's legacy is he can truthfully say his final team brought down not 1, but 2 NC contenders. Baylor & TCU's OOC schedules were amazingly weak, you know both were expecting more from SMU.
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot"pedigree" will dictate Ohio gets in, along with Bama, FSU, and Oregon.
Ohio State would get snot-knocked by either Big 12 team, but it is a 'name'. Kinda like JoePa and the Penn State folks in 1983. There is a pecking order of perceived prominence, and Baylor/TCU are not in it. stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotEveryone thought OSU was garbage after Michigan. Siddemly they beat a crap wisky team that relies on one player and are world beaters catapulted ahead of the big 12 champs
Doesn't help OU lost yesterday though
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotI certainly thought it would be more cut and dry when it came down to selections. Seems pretty funny now vs BCS. Same issues and nonsense. System doesn't seem much better but at least a playoff of sorts.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spotTCU dropped to 6 in the AP Poll:
1. Alabama 2. Florida St. 3. Oregon 4. Baylor 5. Ohio State 6. TCU Shake It Off Moody
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot1. Bama
2. Oregon 3. FSU 4. Big 12 (Baylor or TCU) Criminal if they let tOSU in. Those guys played nobody in a very weak Big 10. All one has to do is recall their loss to a very weak V.Tech bottom rung ACC team.
Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot1) Oregon
2) Bama 3) FSU 4) OSU 5) Baylor 6) TCU Like everything else in CFB this is really about the money. I think TCU/Baylor is good enough to beat any of these teams. However, OSU maximizes profits. If you don't think the ADs on the selection committee don't know this you're crazy. If the Big XII gets the shaft, does it benefit us in anyway? Thoughts?
