BYU - SMU to Big 12?

BYU
UCF
Cincy
Colorado St
USF
Memphis
UH
SMU

Ha! So one year of halfway decent football at Colorado State (Fort Collins) and they are above USF, Memphis, and Houston?

You know its about markets and long term potential. SMU is 5 years from being in the discussion if everything worked out perfectly. SMU and UH are blackballed because of Texxas market ESPECIALLY SMU. I could make an argument Houston market could benefit Big 12

Colo St is not a candidate. No TV sets. I think cincy, ucf and memphis are most likely if we don't want to mess with byu.

It's really not even worth discussion. To a heavily biased fan anything can make sense. To everyone else, not so much.

CSU does bring some of the Denver market. Student population of 31,000, which is bigger than I realized. Still it will never happen.

Coogs have better chance than us in B12.

We have better chance than them in the remaining P5.

Most likely path for us is both Mustangs & Coogs to ACC.

Most likely path period is Coogs to B12.

We are a perfect fit for the ACC in so many ways.

I don't think it happens until the SEC takes a couple of ACC teams though.

Yeah, can't wait for all our away games to be on the east coast and the east side of Ford to be empty at home games. This crap of having conferences spread all over the U.S. really makes no sense...and that includes AAC to some extent. At least in the AAC we have some schools relatively close...

We need to do whatever it takes to get in the big 12, maybe agreeing to take a minuscule portion of tv money for the first few years to offset having to divide it among 12 instead of 10. Being in dallas we also save schools money on travel
