My wife allowed me to watch the 9th inning because it looked like it might be historic. Even she couldn't believe the drama of Eckstein's hit, Edmond's walk and Pujols shot. What a game. Sorry Astros fans. The series continues in St. Louis. And the White Sox are hoping to end the curse of Shoeless Joe.

don't talk about stadiums when houston plays in a juice box where a lazy fly ball turns into a home run. at least pujols knows how to hit a homer. if they would have left the roof open, that ball would have been out of the stadium!

it would be a tremendous accomplishment for the astos to win tonight. they were one strike away from their first ws appearance. a lot of them had already packed thier bags mentally for chicago. now, they are in the same position as last year thinking here we go again...a sentiment we pony fans know all too well.

I'm tired of people saying Minute Maid is a "juice box". Yeah it's 315 in left, but it's also 20+ feet high so the trajectory of the ball would take it out in most ballparks. If the ball makes it past the first row it's a legitimate home run in most parks. If you would research the topic instead of regurgitating what morons like Steve Lyonns say, you would realize that Minute Maid falls in the middle of the pack home run wise even with the perceived short porch. Even if Minute Maid was ranked #1 such as Coors, both teams have to pitch with the same dimensions so it's a moot point.

Yes, Albert's shot would have ended up on Crawford Street if the roof was off. I was screaming that we needed to walk Pujols to get to that steroid induced joke Walker (but if memory serves I believe they bounced walker down in the order and replaced him with Sanders), anyway after making every correct call the past month, Garner finally muffed one. If there's a game I have to win I want only one pitcher on the mound and that's the wizard...god help us if we don't win tonight.

Yeah, Sanders was fourth in the lineup. I can't imagine a situation where you would put the winning run on base, especially with your best pitcher on the mound. I think Pujols was 2/13 with no home runs against Lidge before that at bat. He just made a mistake.

Well...at least the last half of your last name can get you in trouble with some censoring programs. We always had trouble talking about Damon Hanc0ck too.
