Interesting - who has the story as to why Peruna I's offspring was not selected as Peruna II?

That's the same clipping from the article. That explains that they wouldn't take him at that time, but would select Peruna II after football season. I would think Peruna's spawn would still be the leading choice at that time. Yet he was not selected. Why?

Perhaps he was selected after the season. I don't know.

It appears that he was not - #2 was supplied by Culwells http://www.smu.edu/StudentAffairs/RecSp ... uad/Peruna

We have some great traditions, especially Peruna. I hope CM comes running out next to IX next year. How are the gluedings these days?

Can you just not accept that some children do not want to follow in the hoofsteps of their father?

Neat article, but there are some cautionary/ominous tones to it--it mentions three schools other than SMU, who were playing on the national landscape in the 1930s, and haven't been seen in decades. I hope HCCM can win quickly.

In the last home game, I thought Peruna looked like he had put on some weight. I guess he didn't get enough exercise this year.
