Tore my ACL and had it repaired almost 16 months ago. Your ACL is like the tassels on the edge of a rug. It really doesnt heal together. The only option is replacement. I had a hamstring autograph from my own tissue. 1 year after my surgery I ran my first half marathon.
ACL tear recovery goes really well given time to heal. RG3 is the example of what happens when you don't wait long enough.
I don't think Chason Virgil has a torn ACL...Adam Grosbard tweeted that Virgil had messed up his knee on 21 Nov...not sure if he was referring to someone else or confused. No other media source is reporting it.
Also, Chason played vs. McKinney North on the 22nd (the day after Grosbard's tweet), to the tune of 404 yards passing and 42 yards rushing with 6 TDs.

One media source has confirmed that he does not have a torn ACL.
That is great news for SMU. Sounds like he wants to play as soon as he can, and I bet Morris will give him opportunity. It would be great to have him in school in the spring.

I agree. I think his prior relationship with HCCM when Clemson was recruiting him will help...plus he'd probably sit for a while at Hokey Pokie U while he'd practically get an opportunity to start from day 1 here.
Does anyone know when he has to make the decision by? Gotta be soon if he wants to enroll in January.
