Not at all. People who complained that june hired buddies were being lazy and using that as a catch all complaint. The problem was not that they were his buddies, the problems were that they were not good recruiters (and in some cases not good coaches either). Lots of coaches hire their buddies, which is fine if they are the right people for the job.

Donny McElveen is a new offensive grad assistant. A 24 year old who comes from Clemson.
Donny was a back up walk on QB at Clemson. Smart kid from what I've heard. Will definitely know the O and serve in the way that Craddock did for CM here most likely. Good cohesive hire for Chad.
