Wait who? This could go in so many humorous directions. But I'll restrain myself
Didn't you donate to his gubernatorial campaign?
That was the high brow, intellectual, political insider direction that would have flown over the head of most because they couldn't name a Democratic Texas gubernatorial candidate
He was better than Chris Bell

Would he only hire coaches that contacted him first? If so, Houston Nutt to Hawaii!

He had one, but it sounds like he didn't have a shot: Hiring Sanchez, who went 85-5 at Gorman, always seemed destined to happen, though Kunzer-Murphy conducted an in-person interview with former New York Giants and Las Vegas Locomotives coach Jim Fassel. She also had phone interviews for ex-college head coaches Houston Nutt and Ed Orgeron and was scheduled to interview former Hawaii and Southern Methodist coach June Jones on Monday. Whether Kunzer-Murphy spoke with Jones couldn’t be confirmed, but most of her talks with coaches were by phone, an indication those candidacies were not seriously considered.http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/unl ... ball-coach

Given the state of our FB program 7 years after Tiki, I can't honestly say the program would be in worse shape had TD become our HC.
Maybe someone will ask CM if Tiki's 4 bowl appearances influenced his decision to come to SMU, in other words, Tiki proved you could win at SMU.
My bet is CM would disprove this myth.

He should honestly either go back to Hawaii and take a position in their athletic department or go somewhere like Portland State where his gimmicky garbage will be tolerated and his lack of recruiting will be ignored.
Back off Warchild seriously.

The former coach who shall not be mentioned was not going to be the next HC at UNLV. He learned they don't have an IPF

Wow, Gorman is the only true catholic juggernaut in the valley. They recruit whoever they want. Not sure it works that way at UNLV, though the have no pre-Admission math requirement. Even if he cleaned up the state, that doesn't mean shiznit.
That's the type of program you give to Orgeron, let him recruit zombies, and hopefully it amounts to a hill of beans.

Every NCAA school has a pre-admission math requirement for student/athletes because you have to have 3 core math courses (Algebra 1 or higher) to qualify under NCAA rules and every school has to meet both its own admission requirements and the NCAA requirements https://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/file ... _Sheet.pdf
