JJ to the Eagles (oh, I would love this!).
Re: No Oregon State for JJWeird move. From good program to a sucky one. I guess he likes the West Coast.
Re: No Oregon State for JJWhat is up with Wisconsin? 2 coaches in 2 years leave for what are at best lateral moves.
Re: No Oregon State for JJ
He was pissed he was told to throw the OSU game imo
Re: No Oregon State for JJJune is just waiting for the 49ers to call

One of two things (or both): 1.) Working for Barry Alvarez is probably terrible - he is a legend in his own mind. How many bowls will he "interim" coach? Last time he gave himself like $130k to coach their bowl and a $5ok bonus if he won that game. Hilarious. 2.) I heard both Anderson and Beilema speak about UDub's lack of admissions/support for athletes (much like what we hear about SMU) and UDub's lack of ability to keep good assistants at good salaries.
Re: No Oregon State for JJI was wrong - When Bielema bailed out on Wisconsin before the Rose Bowl a couple of years ago, Alvarez paid himself an extra $118,500 to step in and be the head coach for the Rose Bowl, and he would have received $50,000 more if Wisky had won the game.

Re: No Oregon State for JJOne of the biggest issues at Wisconsin is the lack of decent pay for assistants. That was a major factor with Bielema and allegedly with Anderson.

Re: No Oregon State for JJ
Debatable whether its a step down going to Oregon state imho. Maybe he is tired of the cold and is a west coast kinda of guy. Oregon States 2000 team under Denis Erickson was special and testament to the idea that NC's of yesteryear truly were "mythical". I think that team could have competed with anyone including OU had they been given the chance. Certainly they will never absolutely suck as they did in the late 70's/early 80's.
