Curious that no one here has mentioned a particular letter sent out by SMU AthDept this week. Anyone else receive it?

I got one and am not by any means a big donor. (Would love to be) They are wanting to raise $500,000 very quickly to update offices, meeting rooms etc. I like the idea. Hope we are successful in the endeavor.

no the last update was not just locker rooms (and a players lounge). They changed and updated the entire entrance to the football offices (looks nice), and offices, plus team and position meetings rooms, and a few other things. Team meeting room was turned into a concert style ... curved, row by row elevation (nice). Ok, come-on ... there has got to be a JJ "we need nicer meeting rooms joke in here".

Other then the Pony on the ceiling that lights up, and that is an opinion deal ... looker rooms are nice, roomy, flats screen everywhere, pic's of past NFL Pony's on the end cabinets ... players lounge is OK, not great. I can tell you this. I have been in the Clemson looker room ... SMU is equal to it IMO. Now the Clemson S&C facility ... wow.

Pretty standard to send out donation asks in December, just before the tax year ends. It's when lots of people are make donations.
