Pardon my ignorance, but what does "in the hunt for him through SD in '16 if not land him" mean?

Translation:
Boudreaux is a Jr. so Morris has a shot to get him to commit before signing day in February of 2016

Good. He does seem a little bit like Myles Turner with how he handles recruitment and I would not be surprised if he does a press conference to announce his commitment.
