Sterling Moore

Post by LA_Mustang »

He was injured in the 4Q. Did anyone hear if he's okay?

All good, just some friendly fire by my boy Church. "@angeladeesnutz: @SterlingMoore you okay man?"

Sterling seems to think he is just fine.

He's been pretty solid all year. Shut down Cooper last night.

Of all the things he has done this year...shutting down Cooper isn't worth wasting valuable O2 discussing. Sadly, he was the recipient of one of the few good hits Carr has laid on anyone this season. Moore needs to get better and help beat the Colts.

The number of times teams throw against Carr versus throw at Sterling is stunning. Not sure if Carr struggles that much or if Moore is just playing great, but they sure picked on Moore's side of the field when Claiborne was in the game...

Sterling Moor is a pretty good player. He is not quite starting material but he is a very serviceable 3rd CB. A player like that will probably play in the league for 5-6 years before the veteran minimums kick in and make him too expensive compared to a younger late round draft pick or unsigned free agent. Nothing wrong with a 5-6 year NFL career (good money, pension, ect.).

He is far more than that, although the media has not yet taken adequate notice. He effectively is the starter at right corner, and he has been excellent all season, against all manner of receivers. He is also a big play guy, although those haven't materialized so far this year. They will.

I'm really glad Morris invited Sterling to the basketball game last week. And I'm sure Morris was responsible for him getting a mention on the video board at the first tv timeout. The guy gets it.

I totally disagree. I think Sterling is a very solid Number 2 corner in the league. He will ever be a number 1 guy, but is a solid number 2. Kind of like Larry Brown was with the Cowboys. The Cowboy's problem right now is that they have three number 2 corners.
