GARRETT GILBERT SIGNED WITH PATRIOT PRACTICE SQUAD--Garrett is now on New England's practice squad. A chance to go on a SuperBowl run and sit in meetings with Tom Brady and be coached by Bill Belechik is an amazing opportunity. Players in his situation cannot sign for next year until after the last regular or post-season game. He had multiple practice squad offers,so we'll see.

Awesome opportunity. Other than osweiler (mannjngs backup) and garrapollo (the 2nd string rookie for New England) I can't think of many other backups in a better position to be mentored in the league.

GG always seemed like a classy person. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on HCCM's staff in a year or so.
