thats a great road trip away game to attend if you haven't done it yet. i had a great time there two years ago
If by great road trip you mean cheaper way to see a warzone than visiting Iraq then, yeah. I'm from Memphis and, to be perfectly blunt, Memphis is basically dead as a city... FedEx is basically the ventilator keeping its braindead corpse alive.

Do you not realize that to effectively talk [deleted] you must say something that can't be countered just as effortlessly as I take my morning [deleted]?
For instance when you say "when you guys going to be relevant in anything again?" Its super easy to dispute considering
A) we are good at basketball and B)we just hired the most wanted oc in the country and he's already moving mountains in fixing the train wreck June Jones left behind. You that cocky after beating us the one yearvwe are one of the worst FBS teams ever? Cause last I checked, our games against your team have been viewed as a tune up/bye week/one win closer to bowl eligibility
I literally put more thought into telling you how pathetic your insult was than refuting it. Idiot troll

Winning conference championships in whatever the Missouri Valley Conference is sounds about like winning in the Special Olympics. So congratulations for that I guess.
From what I can tell, Memphis was won 2-3 bowl games since SMU's Death Penalty, we've won four. You've won one confence title since the Death Penatly, we played one title game, but lost to UCF. So actually, until this year, I think you could make the argument that SMU has been a better program since our Death Penalty. How sad is that for you? At least we were once great, and have a reason for our present mediocrity.

But have you won a conference championship since the death penalty? Yes or no? Stop living in the past lol
Seriously? In the 102 year history of Memphis "football" (and I put that in quotes because what you guys usually do looks more like kindergarteners playing tiddlywinks than gridiron) you've played in exactly ZERO bowls that anyone has hever heard of. WTF is the Miami Beach Bowl anyways? Seriously, debating the merits of Memphis "football" is like when I congratulate my cat for bringing a dead mouse to the back door. "Thanks buddy <pat on ththe back>, now let's go put that in the dumpster, shall we?" 1 conference championship in a quasi-actual conference, and no meaningful bowl wins EVER -- whoop de freakin' do fer you dude.

Also, I would HIGHLY suggest you take a break from self-congratulation and come back to reality. I don't know if I've ever seen a schedule work out better for a very mediocre mediocre team to win a conference tite. In 2014, Memphis drew the absolute dregs of the American Conference (including SMU) along with something called "Austin Peay" (presumably some local jr. high school) and Middle TN. Anytime Memphis played a good team, as well as a mediocre Houston team, you got beat. Your one decent win was in the Bowl game, defeating such a poor BYU team that their fall from power made the national news.
And next time you feel like getting uppity, remember that the only contribution the city of Memphis has ever made to mankind died on a toilet -- just like your football program will.

Did you go to Memphis State? I was born and raised in that town and all the idiots I graduated with that couldn't get in anywhere else, went to "Tiger High". It's a [deleted] school and the only sports that town has ever had has been Memphis State basketball. SMU is a far superior school in pretty much everything and it's not even close. Now we're even starting to match you in the one thing that anyone even KNOWS about Memphis State - which is bball. You had a good football year - good for you. Fact: our football program historically is far superior. Fact: our school is far superior. Fact: our basketball team is even starting to match yours now. Fact: our school is in a much more vibrant, livable city than yours (and I know, I was born and raised in Memphis and couldn't get out of there fast enough -- but I DO still love the blues, bbq, and Elvis to which I owe the city a great debt). But, comparing schools is just so overwhelmingly in SMU's favor it's just sad.

One season removed from being a penciled in win on SMU's schedule and he wants to talk crap. Cute XD

Why don't you work on moving up in popularity in your own craphole of a city before dreaming about a P5 invite. No P5 league is taking an athletic department at a garbage school if said school isn't even the 3rd most popular athletic program in its own city.
