Michigan was so desperate they threw everything at Harbaugh including an $8mm per year salary - more than any nfl coach not named Sean Payton and tops of all college coaches - even Saban. hope they're funding this from donors. Remarkable to think public state funds are being used for a college football coach in the $8mm magnitude.

Harbaugh to um were swirling hard out here in CA. Many thought he might move across the bay. I felt he would not. Not a Raiders guy.

He got his start in coaching with the Raiders and still speaks well of them.

Jed York is an idiot for pushing Harbaugh out of San Francisco. Just a poor business decision on his part and pushes us further away from winning a title

Duh, of course he does. He is always good in his coaching politics. That doesn't mean he wasn't going back to that organization. Never has he intoned that he would go back to the raiders.

So the guy takes the team to 3 straight conference title games, one Super Bowl, and had one mediocre year and the management runs him out the door? Stupid. Harbaugh is an outstanding coach and will get Michigan back into national relevance very quickly. That game in Ann Arbor in 2018 is going to be a monster test for SMU.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Example of what a desperate school does when they REALLY want to win. And most of the people on this site said Harbaugh would never leave the NFL.....Hahaha........What a joke

You don't need a time machine. Sorry to spoil your dream, but Harbaugh is going to destroy us. CM's 3 stars and high school staff are going to get hurt.

Some people are not meant to be long term employees unless you are willing to "bend over" to their every demand. Furthermore, giving in leads to more demands and a "bad ending" is inevitable. By all accounts, Harbaugh is not a pleasant person to work with.

Plus, is he really "that good?" When he took over the 49ers, they had a talented squad that just needed better coaching. He provided better coaching and they did fine. But, this year's team underperformed as his act got old.

Is he a bad coach? Absolutely not.

But Michigan is treating him like the Messiah. $5 says it bites them in the [June Jones].
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Your $50,000,000 Check did not clear because of insufficient funds-isn't this really your fault because you are only SMU fan stupid enough to suggest we could get Harbaugh
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
