Linebacker concerns

BJ WIlliams is out with a broken leg.
Billy Ford is now a TE/U-back.
Khalid Beard is gimping around on a sprained ankle.
D.D. Lee is out for the year because of an injury.

Wasn't linebacker supposed to be a position of depth and strength?

Any injury to a starter is a concern, but there was more competition for BJ Williams position than anywhere else. Justin Williams and Devonric Johnson are ready to play. Apparently, they are real high on Bishoff. DD Lee is a true freshman who would not have taken time away from these guys early in the year anyway. As he developed maybe. Khalid Beard is listed as day to day, not out for the season or anything. I would be more concerned if Justin Williams was in the secondary like I would like to see him tried at free safety.
