Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Thread9 boards and 9 blocks?
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadLove Ben Moore's contribution on the boards but can this kid make a freaking layup? Soooo frustrating. Dunk the damn ball...same for YM. Our bigs are too soft. MK is not but he's just not in game shape yet.
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadPre game mk missed a lot of his warm up shots, walked around ,appeared disinterested...I don't know much about the technical stuff, but I expected a lot more from him...post game Larry expressed himself as I would expect...poor play,etc...larry was happy with the crowd.
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Thread
Can't do it before the game, no one shows up early. And good lord, people, clap for the fight song like EVERY OTHER FAN BASE IN EXISTENCE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadWondering when the E. Mudiay talk is gonna stop. He's not here the team has moved on. Will someone send the annoucers the memo.ijs
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadAll of the same problems we have had all season are still in full force.
The defense is really good and allowing us to win, but somebody who shouldn't beat us is going to shoot lights out and win if we don't clean things up on the offensive end. We have to have the worst shooting percentage inside five feet in the nation by a mile. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Thread
Is there a blown layup stat? We might have set a record tonight. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadMan all looked horrible. Ben is soft as can be, sterling is slow, Keith hit some big threes but contributed nothing else, Ben e still not putting it together, yanick went 3-9 against a midget front court, nice Moore played well tho
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadIt is amazing how well we get the ball to our bigs down low and they can't finish. If you remember last year Ben Moore was hitting almost 70% from the field about 10 games in. This year the ball will roll all around the rim and drop out. So frustrating because he so aggressive (13 rebounds) and makes the team better in so many way. We got to get the ball to drop down low

Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadWe played asleep and they hustled all game. Let them drive in the lane almost every possession. poor ball movement and turnovers. Im shocked that LB doesnt do something for them to play smarter by now. 20 TOs against this opponent??
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Threadnot to mention they drop the ball down low and dribble.. Certainly have missed a s-load of layups so far this season
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadNot an excuse but I will say that Midwestern St earned some respect from me tonite. They were poised and definitely not intimidated like a team that has made 6 straight NCAA Division 2 appearances. Stepped up to a bigger stage tonite and despite a lackadasickle start SMU was actually pretty aggressive for the final 10 minutes. I had no problem with SMU's energy level down the stretch especially from B.Moore, Sterling Brown, Frazier and Moreria we just could execute down low

Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. ThreadNon conference is over, and the turnover problem is still terrible.
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Thread
MSU was ready to play and brought it for 40 minutes. Very impressive. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Official: SMU vs. Midwestern St. Thread
When players are trying to get in shape after a long layup, the legs go and the energy goes. It won't come back until he is fit again. This type of thing happens in soccer a lot - first game back from injury, you are fresh and have a huge impact in limited minutes. Then you go through some horrible games until your fitness comes back and you start to ramp up again. On the broadcast, they said MK indicated he would be back to 100% mid-conference. They also said he hadn't practiced for several weeks because of his focus on school. So, I would expect more sub-par games from him until he gets his legs under him in a month.
