How about Yanick with a triple 9 game? Give MSU credit; he blocked 9 shots and they kept coming after him
Sorry....i love the kid. But he shot 3 of 9 and 50 percent from the line. Three of nine!!! Mostly layups! There is very little lemonade to be made here.
Just remember, at least two of his called goal tendings were bogus, otherwise Yanick would have had a couple of more blocks to his credit. Also, he game up big at the end of the game with a steal and a layup at the other end with an assist from Moore. He broke a school record for blocks in a single game. I will take that Lemonade thankyou.

Exactly. Yanick put the game away with the steal and basket last night.

Confusing statement. We have won seven straight games.
And 4 of those teams all have losing records and one that has a winning record has beaten teams such as Science and Arts, Lynn, South Dakota Mines, College of Faith, and Nova Southeastern. Wyoming's record seems to be built on beating weaker teams as well. That was a [deleted] poor effort by the team tonight and Larry even said so in his post game radio interview. Even Kentucky plays the UT-Arlingtons of the world. Your post reads as if you don't follow basketball that closely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] No issue with playing a team like Midwestern, but when you do, it needs to be a beat down - not a half [deleted], sloppy effort where it wouldn't have taken all that much for the opponent to get the W. "This game left a bad taste in my mouth" is what LB said to end his post game radio interview.

Look, we get that with any positive involving our teams you will search for a negative point to bring to the board. It's just what you do. We are all negative at times but if you see a snob post there's a 95% chance it is a snide remark or something negative - (I did a quick snob search user's posts) late arriving crowd tonight......, calling out section 204....., any other offers?, Ben Moore = 3 fouls zero points, we allow way too many turnovers, this will be a bad loss if we lose, poor pass by Manuel. And the last few posts were during our biggest OOC road win in years. Biatch all you want but the bottom line is we made it through OOC without a bad loss, and without a major injury. We are finally at full strength and the conference is very winnable. If we had Markus from day one we probably beat Indiana and Arkansas, and the national media knows that. Last night was ugly but games like that happen to every team. Clean things up and take care of USF tomorrow. Then we have our biggest game to date - at Cincy Saturday morning.

I don't disagree with that but the idea that 4 of the teams we have played having losing records somehow saying anything about us other than "we play DIvision I basketball" is false

I'd rather have a win against a Midwestern State to shake off rust, than to have played USF tonight and lose by a field goal. Rust off, now let's go and try to win the AAC. Win it and we're in the tourney. Despite losing Louisville, we still have some quality teams left in the conference (I think Temple and Memphis are going to be tougher than advertised) and UConn will not be surprised by us this year. So, we need to bring it every game. No more spotting teams a halftime lead.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Right on L.A. I have some concerns about this team, but if we had the Indiana game in the win column I would say that the OOC has been a success considering MK being out. All teams go through ups and downs in the non-conference due to new players, new roles, finding lineups etc. Even the best programs lay some eggs or look flat early on. Lots of examples of that this season. What I like about this non-conference is that we got some good measuring sticks by playing some good competition. This is going to help us even if the W-L has to suffer. Now is when we need to start gelling and playing better. If we have not worked through the kinks and gelled by now then yes we are going to struggle. The performance last night after the Holiday break and a big road win prior to the break should not be too alarming. That is why that game was scheduled. To get the game legs back after break and prepare for conference. Again, I do have concerns about this team, but we are in a pretty good spot to control our destiny. Let's hope that our OOC has prepared us for some battles that are sure to come in conference. A lot of teams looking for some revenge from last year and we are one of the hunted so it will be interesting to see how we react.

I hate being so negative about last night and i am glad we had the game scheduled to get the rust off.
But indeed there are still alot of issues this crew must deal with. My guess is that LB is far from satisfied with where they are right now....even forgetting about the won- loss record. The execution just ain't there enough. But that is why the season is the season. Hopefully we get it right most of the time. But until ( and if!) MK IS BACK at last year's speed the rest are going to have to bring it regularly.
The journey through the conference schedule is goingbto be more difficult, IMHO, than previously expected. But the recipe for success remains. Just gotta go get it.
