Suggestion that hill is not a running QB is nonsense.

Face down passed out on the sidewalk would be about a 0.0 forty I believe.

Chad Morris' offense is a variation of the Gus Malzhan's spread offense. QBs are used in a very different way. Compare Marshall at Auburn, Boyd and Watson at Clemson to well any Air Raid QB you want (except Manziel who is better characterized as a scrambler out of a passing offense as opposed to a true Dual Threat QB). Damn footballdad and I had the same characterization of Manziel as a scrambler

Just hope the Chad Morris offense doesn't take a QB 3+ years to learn like the "QB Guru" offense did!

not trying to be "That guy" but you gotta flip the logic. Saying he has a 0.0 40 is saying he is fast.

Then I guess by your logic we can discount all of his throwing ability shown in highschool because hs is not college.

So I guess what you're saying is that any evaluation of any players skills in highschool are invalid because the game is at a higher level in college?

obviously if a qb scrambling is not part of the game plan then he's going to have a low ypc average because most of his runs are going to be on breakdowns in pass plays. I just watched some of his highlights (from college) and while he is not a phenom of a runner like manziel, he definitely needs to be accounted for on the ground which is the basis of morris' offense. QB has to be a threat with his legs otherwise the option doesn't work

Not to keep bringing the guy up, but Garrett Gilbert struggled at Texas and turned out ok here. Nacho's argument is the exact same one used by burnt orange haters prior to his doing well here.

Gilbert was a head case. He showed running ability at Texas and an awesome arm, just bad decision making and he stared down his receivers every time . For all the faults of the JJ staff, they do deserve credit for fixing gilberts game

Kenny Hill?

I go to a lot of SLC games as I live in southlake. Didn't watch a lot of Kenny Hill at A&M. From his HS days, I would say he was a better runner than a passer.

You know they run an air raid right? Which places a heavy emphasis on THROWING the ball. Just because he was not asked to run doesn't mean he cannot.
