This is crazy! for anybody who cares...
Texas Tech is killin Clemson 24-0 in the 2nd quarter with 9:50 left on the clock! and Texas Tech is on the Clemson 3 or 4 yard line!

an ugly game from the Clemson perspective. They sold less than half their "normal" bowl allotment of tickets and generally had a hard time dinding enthusiasm for this game (because of the date).

Gotta give Tech credit. They matched up well with Clemson and took it to them tonight.

For those who think we will upset Tech to open the season next year...well, unless we develop an offense that can control the ball and time of possession (keeping Tech's offense off the field) and SCORE a lot of points, I wouldn't get your hopes up. They may miss Kingsbury, but the OL is returning and I'm sure they've got another "gunner" on the bench awaiting his turn.

they said stuff about next year for Texas Tech the whole game!!! thats the only reason I watched the game because of next year well our guys better start practicing now thats all I gotta say! I heard at one point that Clemson had more fans there than Texas Tech to! but half of the Clemson fans were gone at the begining of the 3rd Quarter!

and for anybody who didnt watch the game the final score was 55-15 Texas Tech wins

Clemson has a pretty decent defense. The fact that Tech put up 55 points on them and only 24 against us is impressive. And it's not like Kingsbury had a terrible day against us -- I think he threw for 350 or more. Tech's defensive line was a joke against us, and for most of the season. It might actually get better next year with the loss (I won't say "graduation") of a couple of starters.

Who backs up Kingsbury? In other words, who's going to be the starting QB when we stroll into Lubbock next year and pull that upset?

1st - Clemson does not have a very good defense and they've had major problems on both their OL & DL this year. Teams like Wake and Duke beat them at the line of scrimmage this year. Let's face it; to beat TTech you need to have a good running game and control the time of possession and that was one of Clemson's weaknesses all year long.

As for TTech's backup QB, I think his name was Symons? He came in late and went 7-9 with 2 TDs. Again, I wouldn't get overly excited about opening with these guys in Lubbock next year. That would be a HUGE win for SMU.
