Mick Cronin/UC

Postby Terry Webster » Thu Jan 01, 2015 11:31 pm

Mick Cronin is going to hold a press conference Friday morning to discuss what is happening with his health. A friend up here in Cinci believes he will not coach again this season. Hope he gets better. Health is a whole lot more important that basketball.

That stinks. Hope he gets better and returns to Cincy. He's a great coach and good for the game and our conference. Maybe just cut back on the tantrums I guess.

Obviously his health is most important. He's a great coach and I hope this is temporary.

I'm no doctor, but my understanding is that a burst aneurism means you die. He's very lucky they caught it when they did. Whatever happens with coaching, I wish him the best.

This really does stink. I hope he has a full recovery.

Assuming it is located in an area of the brain where it is treatable. If it is located deep in his brain there is very little they can do.

What a scary situation for Cronin. I'll be praying for a full recovery and that he's on the bench next year for the Bearcats.
Back off Warchild seriously.

The word seems to be that the condition is something other than a aneurysm and is not life threatening and is treatable.

http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/ ... /21178925/

"...the update from UC on Cronin's condition was that he has a non-life threatening vascular condition known as arterial dissection. His treatment and recovery includes rest, medication and keeping a normal blood pressure."

As Cronin mentioned in his presser, keeping the normal blood pressure is going to be tough for him.
