Cinci Wrestling Match

"Most Likely to Hurt Your Eyes"

Contrary to Larry Brown's reputation, the Mustangs are average when it comes to pace. Cincinnati is not, however -- the Bearcats like games to be slow, physical, brutal affairs. Combine that tendency with Brown's reliable distaste for 3s, and both teams' defensive abilities, and what you're likely to see Saturday morning (11 a.m. ET on ESPN2) is a plodding, clogged-lane wrestling match. This really will feel like homework. You've been warned.

This really does bring up the point that we need to speed up the pace and tempo of our games. Not just against Cinci but in general. If we are not going to shoot a lot of 3's than we must get a lot more points in transition. In this conference scoring in the 70s could be the difference between close games and blowouts, wins and losses, and even conference titles.

. Agree but also need to balance turnovers. Seems to either not finish around rim or have a TO.

We scored 48 in the first half of the first conference game.

Our only problem with pace is that we turn the ball over A LOT in transition. As I think Hoopmanx mentioned, we have multiple ball handlers coming in and that will change in the future.

Hope MK is ready. I think we may need his strength in the middle.
