LB tinkers too much and we lose momentum. He got outcoached.

We did have some crazy lineups for extended stretches today.

I questioned the second half timeouts but it turns out they came in handy there at the end, so I will defer to the hall of famer!

The players just did not play well. There's no excuse for missing layup and careless turnovers. That's in the players and we lost bc they did not show up.

Having said that I do think there were bad substitutions when we could have ran up our lead in the 1H. I still think Martin and emelogu are just not there mentally or whatever it is but it killed our momentum.

Also like it's ben said before wish we could use some of the timeouts we have to stem the tide or to at least get the players to calm down. Particularly when we're on the road.

we had 2 three-point shots in the closing seconds that would have made this a one possession game we could have won. Nic & Keith missed those shots and neither of our top outside shooters shot well today. This was a hard fought game we could have won, but instead come away with a tough loss. Still plenty of hoops to be played and we are not at full strength yet

I still bet a free sermon that we have only one loss in conference when all is said and done.

Sounds good to me. I'm in!

Of course, unlike SMU, I'm sure it will have three points.

I love all of the optimism but unfortunately I just haven't seen enough from this team yet to believe that we are that good yet! Right now we truly are a Jekell and Hyde team. We have very little consistency, turn the ball over way too much and although our defense looks pretty solid we give up way too many open 3's and don't shoot enough if them ourselves.
I really hope we have an amazing conference record and go to the conference tournament final and get into the dance. But realistically based on what I have seen to this point I believe Uconn, Memphis, Temple, and Tulsa will all be tough road games that could go either way and I think at Moody we could run the table.
We are currently 1-1 in conference play unfortunately I see at least three more conference losses in our future.

hell, we'll struggle with Tulane too.

I don't understand the huge disparity in 3 point attempts and makes between us and our opponents. why do we not incorporate the 3 point shot in our offense? why can't we run plays to get KF open looks? our offense looks so unfluid and one-dimensional

if the turnovers aren't cleaned up, the team is NIT or CBI bound. Just can't overcome them. I was certainly hoping the 2 transfers would bring something to the table for Shawn and Nick - i haven't seen it.

If they play like USF, will beat the easy teams. Just have no identity really and sporadic.

RPIforecast.com has us projected to lose 4 more games in conference (13-5 conference record) and finish 26th in RPI. They actually have us favored to win every game from here on but due to our inconsistency they have us losing 4 more games. http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/SMU.html

If we finish 26th in RPI, we are going dancing.

13-5 in conference sounds realistic to me; need to win the AAC Tourney to assure that NCAA bid. Key is to play well late, not unlike last year's NIT run.

Sounds right. No way we lose more than four more and that's tourney bound.
