Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this year
When I was in middle school, I am pretty sure my football team went to a SMU game every year thanks to the FCA. Since that was the Pony Express era, it was good times. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearNorth Texas Football Coaches Association - not Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Even better

Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this year
They should get FCA kids to the games anyway. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearSMU had the FCA kids at a game about four years ago because I was one of the adults that went with them. They had a meeting at Moody followed by the football game. Our kids had a blast. I also remember the Methodist Church having a day in the more distant past.
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearSo exactly what is the event that is being tweeted about? Is it a game, a conference, something else?
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearIts a convention of local high school coaches that conduct clinics with speeches on football topics, offensive/defensive formations/strategy/techniques, etc. Here's an excerpt from the famous DMN article exposing June Jones
For example, until 2012, the North Texas Football Coaches Association held coaching clinics at the area’s three FBS schools, with more than 300 coaches in attendance. Patterson and McCarney are regulars at the clinic, available and engaged as much as their schedules allow. (Patterson’s connections with high school coaches are even tighter, hiring popular Arlington Bowie coach Kenny Perry in March 2013 as his director of high school relations and recruiting; Perry was promoted to cornerbacks coach this spring.) Jones, on the other hand, showed little interest in participating in the clinic, making a few brief appearances. Over the past two years, SMU declined requests to host the event, forcing organizers to move SMU’s dates to Garland Lakeview "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearThe former head coach who shall remain nameless blatant disregard to his head coaching duties and all other tangibles that are a must for recruiting, is just mind boggling.
GO MUSTANGS!
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearHow could Hawaii fans actually want to hire him?
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this year
Seriously? GO MUSTANGS!
Re: The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this year
A bit facetious, but how do we enlighten them as to exactly who June is? He isn't the tiki god they think he is.
The NTFCA is also going back to SMU this yearI found a UH forum and a Former head coach who shall not be named thread. I also read where someone posted bullet points about FHCWSNBN. I don't think UH posters grasp the the importance of recruiting and recruiting Texas kids. A lot of people on that board have their blinders on.
GO MUSTANGS!
