Do home owner's insurance policies usually cover earthquake damage? Or do they require separate riders or policies?

coverage is sold separately and most companies offer with a pretty steep deductible; often as much as 10-20% for base rates

You can get coverage in Dallas for cheap with a 2 percent deductible per the DMN today.
