Surgery for Krstich

Postby PonyPride » Fri Jan 09, 2015 5:26 pm

Quarterback Garrett Krstich, who started four of the 10 games in which he played in 2014, had surgery Monday to repair three tears in the labrum in his right (throwing) shoulder. He said the surgery was successful, and that he intends to be ready to work out with his teammates in the springs the Mustangs learn the new systems implemented by new head coach Chad Morris and his staff. Whether he will be able to practice in the spring, and if so, how much, remains to be seen. He said he knew he faced offseason surgery, and played despite the pain in his shoulder.

His rehabilitation program begins next week.

Krstich and Matt Davis tied for the team lead with 855 passing yards in 2014. He completed 99 of 181 passes, threw seven interceptions and a pair of touchdowns. The junior from Carlsbad, Calif., also rushed 40 times for 81 yards.

That is horrible news. I hope he gets well soon.

Love his heart, but wonder why it took until now to have surgery.

Best of luck to him on his recovery.

My guess would be have to give it some time for the swelling to go down and then didn't want to do anything during the holidays.

When I tore my labrum, the first order is to try to rehab it. The spent several weeks attempting this but sometimes rehab doesn't work. Surgery was the next thing.
