When was the last time we had 17,000 of our own fans at Ford?

3-time champ NDSU vs league foe Illinois St for FCS title
AP 4:35 p.m. EST January 9, 2015

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Three-time defending national champion North Dakota State and Illinois State shared a conference title without having to play each other this season.

Until now, with a much bigger trophy at stake for the Missouri Valley Football Conference co-champions in the FCS championship game Saturday.

North Dakota State (14-1) is going for an unprecedented fourth consecutive title in the Football Championship Subdivision. The Redbirds (13-1) are making their first FCS championship game appearance.

With the eight-game league schedule in the 10-team MVFC, each team misses one conference foe. North Dakota State and Illinois State, who both lost to Northern Iowa, didn't meet in the regular season for the first time in eight years.

This is the first time two teams from the same conference face off in the FCS championship game.

I wonder if they could fill up Ford stadium if Dallas put a bid in.

They did a great job with the turf

They have started doing a really good job with the grass at Toyota Stadium. There is a tough part in the beginning of the summer when they transition from winter grass to summer, but it is pretty outstanding otherwise.

and they don't make excuses about playing teams that 'nobody cares about', or playing in a non-P5 conference, or not having an enrollment of 30,000. They just support their team because they win and dominate their conference.

Hope to see the same following for Morris & SMU football.

great game NDSU driving with 40 seconds...and they score. Both schools with "game winning " drives in last 3 minutes. 29-27 NDSU with 37 seconds

I think 2010 vs TCU was about that. Lots of SMU fans that night.

Yes. I would guess it was 25,000 SMU, 7,000 TCU that day.
