I saw our women's team, passing out free tickets in Snider Plaza earlier this week. I was thinking then, do we really want people to see whats coming?

I know UConn has a great program, but how many decades has Rhonda been here?

too many ---time for a change
Re: Women v UConn tomorrow-looking for red seats
I know we face some good programs in the AAC, but what has happened to ours? We have now lost 8 in a row? Can't be good for recruiting.
I've always been a huge Rhonda fan, she dominated in our WAC days and had several NCAA teams when the men's team just couldn't seem to get it done. But it looks like maybe it's time to move on. Any insiders have thoughts on the state of the women's team?

The #1 WBB recruit in the country lives in the Dallas area. Mom played at SMU under Rhonda and Big friends. Looking at UCONN and SMU.
I guess Gino wanted to show her the differences in the programs.

Don't rock the boat. Do we really need any good women's programs? Just need them for Title IX compliance.

Re: Women v UConn tomorrow-looking for red seats
I watched our women's team when they played right before the men's team played. I was stunned at how inept they looked. My gosh they are bad. I think we need a new coach.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Women v UConn tomorrow-looking for red seats
We may get a new coach but only if we can for a lower salary. No way SMU is going to invest in WBB .
Maybe if we get in a P5 and have fixed football and have LAX as D1 does SMU start to consider an investment increase in WBB.
But Rhonda may be done. You just can't get blown out - twice - like that.

I'm not sure why, but the last few years we've been relying heavily on transfers, and you can tell that there is no chemistry in the team. Leaders are not developing in the program and we just look like a random group of girls who haven't played together before. Like I said, I don't know what happened but the state of this team is the worst it has been in a long time.

Yikes, I didn't realize things had gotten so bad w/women's bball.
I was in school the last time they made the NCAA tourney and knew some of the girls from different classes. They were really nice people and it was cool to see them do well.
