I've always been a huge Rhonda fan, she dominated in our WAC days and had several NCAA teams when the men's team just couldn't seem to get it done. But it looks like maybe it's time to move on. Any insiders have thoughts on the state of the women's team?

I'm not sure why, but the last few years we've been relying heavily on transfers, and you can tell that there is no chemistry in the team. Leaders are not developing in the program and we just look like a random group of girls who haven't played together before. Like I said, I don't know what happened but the state of this team is the worst it has been in a long time.

To expand on this - our roster is currently the following:
6 Fr. - 3 are from Australia, and in my opinion seem to be struggling to adapt to physical play a little bit. If they stick around they could be important parts for the future though
3 So. - 2 are transfers
2 Jr. - both are major contributors
2 Sr. - One was previously a manager and doesn't really play

So we really only have 4 players back from last year's team. In addition to 5 seniors, we lost 2 underclassmen. I don't know if they transferred or what. One of the seniors we lost was Keena Mays, who was a stellar player and could carry the team alone against a lot of the lower quality teams we played. We don't have anyone like that this year, plus we lost massive depth.

I've wanted a new women's basketball coach for many years now.
The millions that would have went to the running programs is also now gone because of taking too many years to get it going.
This kind of losing makes me so mad that I'm about to go into my Latin swear words!

She was one of the 2 underclassmen that left the program. I didn't hear why.
