The significance of the Cummings injury can't be ignored. I compared it to us losing Nic: there is no real solution…an Achilles heel.
The Temple fans sitting around me last night were quick to point out that significance as well.
Temple is a good team. Their defense last night was VERY GOOD. They threw some amazing passes and moved the ball pretty well for a team without their point guard. They shoot hot and cold (sound familiar?)
I am thrilled with the road win, don't get me wrong. But we did not get them at their best. They will be very tough in Hartford.
Well he played quite a bit. Maybe not 100% is what you're saying. But he played quality minutes.
He did…but he's averaging 13 a game. He had 5 against Tulsa before he went down and he had 1 against us. Two losses. He was there but his ankle wasn't.

We can get there….
Actually Kentucky is not stocked full of shooters. Kentucky is stocked with length and athleticism. Kentucky wins by overwhelming you with their length on both ends of the floor. They aren't an amazing offensive team. If you keep them out of the paint and can generate/make perimeter shots you can beat them because if they ahve to go shot for shot with you they struggle.

You are correct….and it is WHY they are not putting teams away right now.
I really think LB does want two guys who can handle on the floor. That guy who shall remain nameless who was supposed to be our point guard was the perfect partner for short, fast, great shooting Nic. He is long and can get inside to either dish or shoot. That's what I think LB covets.
No knock on Nic….but I await the arrival of the freshman duo!
I recall a quote from LB where he said if he had them he would be absolutely fine with the idea of playing 5 guys that are all 6'7 or 6'8.
