Dear SMU: I have no idea why you keep kneecapping yourself when it comes to the success of the basketball team. First MK was ineligible and now Frazier? Maybe we should be blaming these professors (who I'm sure are feeling pretty powerful) for not being good enough educators to keep them eligible. Maybe we should put the professors (who apparently cannot teach) on probation and dock their salaries during that period until they can get the players eligible.
This is infuriating. Who can we email/call about this to voice our anger?

We may be under NCAA investigation for actions regarding the basketball program and eligibility and people think the school doesn't do enough to support the players academically? Would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I just hope Maligi or others weren't stupid enough to write anything down... Also, wouldn't this have been looked at when reported by the NCAA?
Maybe they mailed a letter requesting the change and it had Maligi's return address.

Maybe we should slow our roll here or at least postpone the witch hunt. We're not being investigated by the NCAA because we didn't provide our players enough academic support. Maligi isn't on indefinite leave because he didn't check Keith's attendance.

Two quick points: 1. UConn has had academic casualties. 2. There is a separate office apart from the ALec that handles tutoring of athletes.

Does the NCAA announce investigations as they begin? What is the standard on that? Haha, must be confused because I said standard and NCAA in the same sentence.

I think it just had the initials "U.M." on it, but in our defense it was printed, and U.M. only uses cursive

Not funny - well actually kind of funny in a gallows humor sort of way.
