Cox,
Because of Eman I watched almost all of the HS all-star games last year and every time I came away very impressed with Oubre. He is an extremely talented kid - smooth lefty with great athleticism. Kinda reminds me of Jalen Rose. I believe he'll be a very good NBA player, maybe one and done.

I think people tend to down play the ACC. Note Maryland moved from the ACC to the B1G and is doing fine in hoops. The AAC defectors, Louisville, Pitt, and Syracuse have made that conference even more difficult top to bottom. Yes, you have VT, U, and FSU, but even those schools would be tough for anyone else to play. Look at Villanova, Markus Kennedy could not break into their starting line-up and they got beat by Georgetown the other day. I still think that BE teams were shortsighted in leaving the AAC teams.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Injury notwithstanding, he's an OAD. Many think he'll have a great pro career. We'll see.

Yea the ESPN crew even mentioned that they have almost no home court advantage at all.

The Erwin Center in Austin is a terrible place to watch a basketball game

They're talking about building a smaller arena when they tear down Erwin in a few years (the new med school is going where Erwin is)

I'm tired of hearing "the B12 is brutal". Those teams are "ok" and are ranked because B12 is a P5 and the system needs an ROI. The best team, Texas, only beat UConn (a middle of the road team in the AAC THIS YEAR) by a last second lucky shot. I think teams like Cincy, Temple, Tulsa, and UConn (heck even Memphis) could be in the top 3 in that conference and would roll most of those teams (oh yeah, Temple smoked Kansas - I don't think that was a fluke necessarily).

Ok, I'm done. Let all the B12 ball suckers post their responses. Go ahead.

Regarding your Texas example, all I can say is close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. All that matters is the W. To say otherwise implies that we are overrated because a DII team took us to overtime.

While it was not quite a signature win, and closer than it should have been, we still managed to win in regulation.

My bad, I don't know why I was thinking that was an overtime game. It's been a long week.

You're thinking about UC Santa Barbara. They are a decent mid major. They can shoot the three.
