Best place to stay?

Lots of hotels downtown for good prices - it clears out on the weekends. Mayo and Ambassador are fanciest; I've stayed at the Courtyard which is in a nice building.

Over the last year I have been making regular business trips to Tulsa. Great city, if you know where to go.

Here's my suggestion:

SMU gathering at Fassler Hall downtown. It is about 2 1/2 miles from the campus. They serve beer, brats and whiskey. Here is the website: http://www.fasslerhall.com.

It sounds like there will be a lively section 106. Wear Red! Tulsa wears blue.

Let's plan on a Mustang gathering at Fassler Hall at 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

I'll call them and see if they will give us some kind of special since there will be a large group. At least maybe we can reserve a couple of large tables in the corner in which we can be obnoxious in. If nothing else, they should throw in a few free orders of Duck Fries.

And respond if anyone is staying at the Doubletree downtown. If there is a large group staying there, I can request that they send a courtesy van to pick up at Fassler and deliver to the arena.
