Our season is probably on the line but we suck on the road. Ponies, big.

Who doesn't in College basketball?

Sucking less (better known as surviving) on the road wins Championships

UConn is sucking pretty hard themselves right now-we'll see if they survive

Cincy is definitely playing with their season on the line. Not enough quality wins for an at large unless the finish top two in the league, and that is going to be a tough task if they lose on Thursday.

The road losses are close because of the defense. The biggest difference in their game is that they score 60 - 70 at home and stay under 60 on the road. SMU, on the other hand, has only allowed over 60 points in conference one, away to UCF.

SMU hasn't failed to score less than 70 at home in conference play this year.

I think this game has 65-55 written all over it. Get in foul trouble or commit turnovers and fall behind early though and Cincy is a very tough defense to come back on.

That's your problem. You had some of the bastardized version in Louisville. Get up here to the Queen City and try the real stuff.

Maybe I exaggerated somewhat. We still have 4 top 50 RPI wins which is the most in the conference, with a home game with Xavier still remaining. The loss to ECU was a killer though. Regardless, I think we'll come out with good effort but the road woes are for real. SMU will win comfortably.

I tried some at a college hangout close to UC. It takes a stronger stomach than mine to eat that stuff.

I don't think Cincy chili is as good as Texas chili (it lacks jalapenos). However, it is pretty flavorful and has an interesting taste. A local DC establishment, Hard Times features 4 chilis, Texas, Cincy and terlingua red and veggie. The three meat chilis are very good including the Cincy which is slightly milder and thus doesn't talk to me in the middle of the night. Still the best chili I've had in a long time is Ben's Chili Bowl chili. Excellent flavor, excellent kick, and great with beer.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

We also have 4 wins over the RPI top 50. Sorry that's top 100. Michigan and Wyoming have dropped.

Cincy loss to ECU this year = SMU loss to USF last year.

That is all the ammo those MF's from the selection committee need.

Anyone looking to unload a ticket to the game? I can be your date. Or I will gladly hold my hand out like a panhandler. If all else fails I will go stubhubbingit. Speaking of, why are there 6 tickets in section 113 available? This is MOB territory, no? While I am on the subject, there is no reason a red seat should be empty for any game. People need to get there or give them away to a willing fan.

I spent a lot of time in Cincy in the early 2000s. The view coming in from KY is really something. The ball park on the river downtown is cool too. Heck, the whole river area is pretty neat with Newport and whatnot. I am still shocked that the over-the-rhine area has been revamped. That place was serious super scary just over a decade ago. Chili…umm I ate it a few times just to say I did. Not something I would seek out.
