TCU says SMU series to continueJust heard Chris DelConte, their AD, say in an open house over there that as long as he works for TCU and as long as SMU is willing, the TCU/SMU series will continue forever. Says the history is too good to forget, and that the new SMU Coach is top-notch.
Re: TCU says SMU series to continueyeah he said the same thing a few weeks ago according to numerous TCU posters on the Frog Forum
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: TCU says SMU series to continueGood news. I expect us to be competitive with them in 2016 when they come back to Ford and have to replace Boykin. Maybe that's a little ambitious but like Chad, I'm not taking a back seat to anyone.

Re: TCU says SMU series to continueAny mention if Patterson will start helping us out again?

Re: TCU says SMU series to continue
To this day that press conference is one of the funniest things ever. He acted like such a child. Although, in fairness, he did call June and apologize later in the week. I think the issue was June said TCU "doesn't change" and meant it in a complimentary way saying they're always a good team, but without context Patterson thought it was a slight. 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: TCU says SMU series to continue
You should be nicer to Gary Patterson because he and he alone is the driving force behind TCU keeping SMU on the schedule. Increasingly, the fans don't want the game. Only Gary does. Chris Delconte is just saying what Gary told him to say. Last edited by West Coast Johnny on Mon Feb 02, 2015 10:41 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Yep
Re: TCU says SMU series to continue
He'll be willing to help us as long as he doesn't consider Morris a threat. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: TCU says SMU series to continue
Really? I'm friends with several former TCU players and they all told me that Patterson hates SMU and doesn't really like having us on the schedule. 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: TCU says SMU series to continueI'm glad this is the case. It's too big of a rivalry to dismiss. The rest of the game has abandoned tradition, let's keep a small part of it.

OK, Ok..we will help him out and be nice to him. ![]()
Re: TCU says SMU series to continueIn an era where traditional rivals have stopped scheduling each other across the country, it's good to hear that this will continue.
