I feel like he's got the personality that could buy into it but if he doesn't, he's going to flame out fast.

How long do you give him until he relapses?
According to a credible source he was partying in Dallas just last Saturday. I don't know who's story to believe. Poor Johnny Fooseball just needs to do something to get on the right track.

Believe the credible source because anything coming out of JFFs camp is usually BS.

Love the hate, but this kid when to aTm to play football (not study...we know how that works) then got sent to Cleveland to play football (and he thought aTm was barren of anything good). Has numerous off the field issues, baggage, etc. But seriously, what is a bigger waste? Kid who when to aTm to play football and people question his self control, or a dude who got a full ride to Stanford and wasted it on his Mrs. degree in communications?

Looks like his own father may have been correct about little Johnny: "Yeah, it could all come unraveled," Manziel's father said. "And when it does, it's gonna be bad. Real bad."
Open an NFL roster spot for someone who actually appreciates the opportunity.
The rise and fall of JFF will make for a great ESPN 30 for 30 episode though.

It will or it won't...pretty much exactly what Chris Carter did his first season with the Eagles. Just needs someone to really get into his head...kid has talent.

Interesting to see the news of his checking into rehab. Hasn't flunked any NFL drug tests that we know of. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs. Whether he'll ever play in the NFL or follow end up another great college QB who couldn't make it in the NFL like Tebow, Beban, Grossman, Weurfel, etc. is the story to be told down the road.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Maybe I missed something, but who/what is the Stanford reference?

You don't have to talk about him now. None of us does.
It's hard to guess why anyone here gives a damn about him.

Hey people, it's one thing to have a drinking problem, it is quite another to be a total jerk like JFF and
glibly show off and spout off about his own greatness, and follow it up with one
embarrassing episode after another(which he promotes on social media) then follows up
these transgressions with apologies and promises, then does the same damn thing the next day.
I would love to see a talent like his translate to NFL, because I enjoy watching greatness on the field,
but Nacho, this JFF is clearly an A-hole that really doesn't deserve for anyone to root for him.

His hubris is entirely separate from his presumed addictions.

doesn't care who wins.

No, I didnt. There is much more to alcoholism than what I described. I have had a number of alcoholics within my family and friends and I am in no way describing them.
Is he a hardworking organized type A? I have not seen any of thise traits with him.
And yes, I was in awe of his performance vs SMU at Ford, I became a fan.
