3 standout receivers that could start now, gives the QB some real options.

Seems eerily similar to Burcham 8)

Nah, hope his arm is as good as most think and will defer to Moriss' evaluation at this point. Personally still think it's Davis' job to lose and could very well see a 2 QB rotation in the regular season if they determine Hicks is ready for the fire.

This Offense with TEs, HB/FBs, a running game and deception/multiple formations will protect the QB much better than the Run N Shoot

A lot of speed, some good size, and lots of potential to beef up. Happy to see that we are competing with P5 for a lot of these guys. Morris deserves a lot of credit for a putting together a good class in a short period of time. Looks like a few of them followed the staff from recruiting for other programs which speaks well for the new coaches.

He doesnt remind me of Burcham at all. I haven't seem much video of Hicks but he seems to throw a tighter spiral. Burcham seems to lob up a much softer pass. We will see how mobile he is.

Yes.. The R n S just seemed so one dimensional. Definitely looking forward to the diversity of the HCM offense.

I'd be interested to see what Herndon can do, particularly if he stays at tight end.

Developing a TE from scratch will be a challenge. One would think that the staff is already working on a few individuals to develop during the spring to be adequate in the fall.

One recruit is a QB to transition to TE. Pretty short timeframe for that . The other TE recruit is a nice tall kid but vastly underweight for a college football TE. Doubt he can put the muscle on that frame in such a short time without steroids.

To me, this TE inexperience will be a weak link on offense (though not necessarily a destructive weak link) unless someone develops fast next fall.

I can imagine a rotation system for receiving or blocking TE initially but opponents will pick up on that trend after two games. Need to build someone up quickly.

The plan for the 6-7 Thedford kid is to redshirt him and develop him into a DE. By 2016 season you could have a 6-7, 260 DE ready to contribute. I don't think they are really all that concerned about 2015-they building a program by projecting players into the future. Anyway, there are other options other than Herndon like Jeremiah Gaines who is now listed on the SMU roster at 6-2, 246 and Justin Lawler unless they want him at DT. Clemson uses two TE in some offensive formations. As I've tried to suggest, expect all kinds of experiments to transition players into new roles. Tony Richards if he truly is 6-5, 232 as the new roster weight suggests would be a logical choice-just move him over from OT to TE on blocking downs

Couldn't agree more. Just for next season have to be aware of tendencies cause opponents will pick up fast on an obvious TE rotation.
