I've been curious about that as well. Hadn't see the news about Mason, but good for him. As for the others, the only ones I know about:

I am very pleased Coach Mason got a DC position. I do think he is HC material. Just not here (too much association with previous coaching staff). Mason had a vision for SMU very different from Jones. He worked hard in a horrid situation and some of the guys he and his staff recruited were in clouded by Morris. So he didn't abandon SMU while interim. coach.

Until I see evidence otherwise, I'm working under the assumption that Tom Mason was a good man caught in a [deleted] situation.
