Some things I heard at the signing day eventDeleted. Was trying to provide some info for folks who couldn't attend, and it wasn't supportive in any way, shape or form of the previous staff. But I'm sick of dealing with jerks who can't read.

Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventand whoever you heard that from is laughably full of [deleted]. Its unbelievable you keep throwing this [deleted] out there. Mexmustang must be your best buddy. We've gone through just about the entire list of quality players that left the program just about 1 month ago in the infamous "June Has Been Planning to Leave Since 2013" thread that got deleted. I can see it in a search on google. Here's an excerpt of the long list we discussed from Google search:
"Neroes Dieter - Personal reasons. Rice - Drugs Lincoln Richard Ace Hood Nyle Johnson Daren Kitchen ... Could have been grades BUT ALL YOU NEED TO DO IN THE ..." The fact is that [deleted] didn't hold water. Most of the quality kids that left the program didn't even leave at a semester break where they could possibly have flunked out of school. Not even Markus Kennedy or Keith Frazier have flunked out-they are on academic probation. Under NCAA and SMU rules they have a semester to regain their eligibility. What quality SMU Football players were on academic probation but then failed to regain their eligibility? Can you name even 5 quality football players that happened to? I'm sure June Jones did pour out a bunch of bench warmers in their 4th and 5th years so he could continue to sign 25 every recruiting class but that's not flunking out. How often are you going to keep pulling this damn June Jones excuse out? "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventDarn, disappeared between midnight and 9:00 a.m. Wish I had seen it.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventStallion,
I did not not see Jason's original post, but I do know that Keith and Markus are both kids who actually go to class, go to mandatory study hall, and access the resources available on the 3rd floor of Ford. Some of the other names you mentioned did not do all these things. Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventRepost it Jason.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventHe made the statement citing a ridiculous, unsubstantiated rumor he heard at the signing event that June Jones had 40 players flunk out. Not just on academic probation or left perhaps not in good standing but 40 players flunked out

Re: Some things I heard at the signing day eventSo, let's round up to 42 over a seven year period. That would be an average of 6 players a year, or 7% of the scholarship roster (6/85) flunking out every single year.
Speaking (hopefully) without bias or any baseline knowledge, I sort of feel like somewhere along the line, somebody reasonably smart and aware would have made some mention of nearly 10% of the team flunking out every single year June was here.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day event
This supports the allegation that SMU did not provide KF and MK with the support they needed to succeed. KF and MK attended class, study hall and tutoring. Perhaps the new tutoring arrangement will do the job. They deserve better.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day event
And you fail to mention the interesting part - that most of it was actually the former staff's fault for not following up with the kids when they received reports that kids were skipping tutoring sessions or skipping class. And you also missed the part about how the current staff is happy with the support the kids get from the school. And that the current staff is actually monitoring the kids and taking shall we say strict measures to ensure the kids don't skip their sessions. But go ahead, focus on the number of kids that people claim dropped out instead of what is actually pertinent.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day event
I don't know anything about the MK deal. But I have heard from multiple people that what happened with Keith is COMPLETELY on Keith. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Re: Some things I heard at the signing day event
Jason, if you were simply trying to provide some info for folks like me that weren't able to attend, why would you delete it because another poster challenges you? Heck, over half of all posts get challenged, that is the nature of an open forum. I say repost, you do otherwise makes you look weak.
